2/27 DANISH ANIMATION

The Danish animation was more of a drawn out animation that looked to be scanned in and then imported to flash and so forth. The movement was well done with the bicycle to the eye movement as something was being read from a letter. I also liked how they went into detail enough to make the clouds move during the storm. I liked how the stars at night twinkled to give it a more realistic feeling. The camera zoomed into shots which gave it a sort of "movie" feel although it was an animation.

2/20 DISNEY BLOG

The animation from Disney was well done, it used many lighting effects to achieve the idea of the sun shinning down. The animals were very animated in their actions and sounds and movements. The songs that were played in the animation were played into the animals sounds very cleverly to make it seem as if the animals were the ones making the music to the song, The way that the piece was put together so that the windmill did not hurt the bird or the eggs was also very clever.

4th Blog

I liked how the sketches became real pictures and how the story was told with actual words and that the words corresponded with the actions. The animation would jump back and forth between drawings and real pictures. He also made simple symbols like an arrow come to life and help tell the stories. He also had parts when there would be a zoom in and zoom out of the picture which created a good effect. The actual story held up very well with an animation, something that you wouldn't think would work so well, but it did.

The Brothers Quay
It was an interesting animation because it was an animation of puppets creating puppets, but the puppets they were making looked like the two brother who made the animation. It almost had a sense of "horror" to the animation. The music gave it path to follow and added to the awkward horror feel of the animation. This took a whole different path to animation than I have seen or been accustomed to.
